Land, olive trees and handmade spaces
Our family life is connected to the countryside around Cogollos de la Vega: olive terraces, mountain views, practical work and a slower rhythm than the city. The hostal is part of that same idea: simple hospitality, close to nature, with enough space for guests to understand where they are staying.
Much of what we do is hands-on. We maintain the land, make olive oil in small family batches, build and repair spaces ourselves, and keep the property personal without turning it into a private story. The goal is to share the atmosphere: honest materials, quiet views and a direct connection with the land.
The countryside shapes the way the project works. Some days are about trees, terraces and water; other days are about repairing walls, preparing rooms or bottling oil. It is not a formal farm visit, but guests can feel that the house belongs to a real place with real work behind it.
Several spaces on the land use rounded forms and earth-based construction. These materials are simple, quiet and physical. They are not perfect in an industrial way; they are made by hand, adjusted over time and connected to the soil around them.
Olive oil is part of the family rhythm. The trees are maintained through the year, the harvest becomes oil, and part of it travels to France through family and friends. It is a small-scale process, but it says a lot about the way we like to work: direct, practical and personal.
